firmware updates so
that the installation can be applied. Internet Recovery uses an OS from
Apple's servers to do the same thing if there is no valid Recovery Partition on
the internal drive.

Hi, So when ever I’ve started up my mac with cmd+r, and reinstall the os, it
wants to connect to the internet.
Just curious why, and isn’t that 2 gig volume on my internal drive the os
installer?

I was able to get internet recovery to work with VO on my MBP 13, late 2011. It
was guesswork though, because I couldn't tell what it was doing. So my guess is
that you have to wait about an hour or so, then try command plus F5, and fred
will come up talking.
I made sure I was hard-wired
At the time, Mavericks would not install on my Mac. As my Mac is eight 2012
late model, it had mountain lion on it. So I had to press something with option

Shift R? Or am I thinking of something else?

Is this a for sure thing?
And as far as being connected to a network, how can you connect without V O? I
think I tried a LAN cable, it didn't work. I wish that the recovery will detect
either/or, and will use the first thing it finds.
And say you are connected, does the command plus option plus r
I think you can use speech if you are connected to a network as I remember
doing this once with a visually impaired friend using Skype on my I phone.

Command plus r only runs recovery, but command option plus r from what I
understand runs the option for recovering without the recovery partition. And
this, command plus option plus r is what I was looking at trying to run with VO.
Sadly, though, as I took my Mac in to the apple Store Friday, the
never ends. It is a series of lessons with the greatest for the last.

Hi guys,
A few weeks ago I ran the internet recovery option on my mac and it worked ok
up to the point to where I had to sign into the Apple store to download the os.
When this happened the installer froze up and I could not continue.
A while back I know someone offered up instructions for
I should've been more specific. When you hit command plus option plus are.
That's what I meant by Internet recovery.

Hi,
What exactly do you mean by Internet Recovery. Do you have a Carbonite backup
or some other Cloud based backup? Not sure on other Cloud backup solutions but
Carbonite does not backup system files so makes it only a partial recovery.
Carbonite along with the Recovery Partition is quite a
Hi,
I was wanting to do internet recovery on my MacBook Pro 13 inch, late 2011, but
I was wondering whether or not voiceover works with this method of recovery?
Has anyone tried this to see? If so, how did it work for you?
