I receive a message from hand break saying hand break has determined your
system presets are out of date. The app says no windows. How can I fix this? I
just downloaded the latest copy from the web.

One of the things about Handbreak that turned me off was the inability to

Oh, yeah... I forgot about that. Good point, tim. Yeah, you do have to have
VLC, and if you have the 32 bit version of Handbreak, then you also have to
have the 32 bit version of VLC. Same goes if you have the 64 bit versions,
which being now that O S X is more X64 driven, I'd really

Hi,
I'm not sure what you may be doing but I use HandBrake in Mountain Lion with no
issues at all. I'm guessing that there must be something else going on with
your system. It may have something to do with your version of VLC.

Hi, I recently started using handbreak to rip my collection of dvds onto my
computer, but I've noticed that for some reason, when I rip movies with
handbreak, the volume of the audio is really quiet. Does anyone have a
solution for this?
Thanks, Matthew

unable to figure out exactly how to specify this in Handbreak. I click on the

I don't get a error message the movie does get backed up . My problem is when
playing it. It doesn't play in the right order. It starts like in other parts
of the movie and not the beginning. I have tried several times and the results
are the same.

Hi everyone,
I apologize for my earlier E-mail inquiry about Handbreak. I thought I'd

Hi everyone,
I was playing around with Handbreak and can't get it to even encode a DVD. This
is not a right-protected DVD either. It's just a homemade one. It insists on
using VLC and even after I download and install VLC, it still refuses to
encode. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
I thought Windows didn't support MPEG4 format. Or at least you had to
install something else like QuickTime for Windows to work with MPEG4.
