Hi Dave,
Yes, I generally go back and forth between my Mac and iPhone doing whatever is
easier on either device.
Also, learned that I’m rusty with this group as I missed from the question that
it was Mac and not iOS.
Hoping to improve my contributions.
But, still not consistently getting g
Eric,
Yes, sometimes the iOS is a lot easier than OSx. Definitely I like editing a
contact in iOS more than OSx. Also there are many web sites that are more
easily managed using iOS Safari than OSx Safari, due to the simpler mobile
interface imposed by iOS.

Jonathan,
Okay, that fixed it. I needed to VO arrow to the conversation, interact, then
VO arrow to Contact Snippet and interact with that. Then VO arrow to contact
details and interact with that, and VO arrow down to the information I needed.

Hi Jonathan and others,
Hope this works.
This type of exchange is why I value this list and hope to be functional again.
This message came through.
I remember when my iPhone would act as described. I’d ask for a phone number
or address from contacts and before I could read it, it w
Siri creates a dialog which then if you interact with it you will find a
contacts snippet and if you interact with that you will find most of the
details. There is a place in the contacts detail to click and open in the
contacts app, but it is not very well labeled.

Sorry, this is on the MacBook Pro. If I ask “What is John Smith’s home phone
number, SIRI will tell me. But if I ask for John Smith’s home address, SIRI
says “Here is John Smith’s home address”. So I’m supposed to be looking at my
screen to see what SIRI is showing me.

Just to be sure, are you talking about Siri on the computer or on IOS?

Tim,
Sorry, that was not the question. I do get a response from SIRI, telling me
“here’s the information for John Smith”. But I don’t know how to get at what
have been placed on the screen. It just disappears when I try to use VO to read
it.

Hi Dave,
I don’t believe that you could ask Siri to open a specific card with it
contacts app. You can ask her to open the contacts app though. You can also use
the phrase that you used, whereby you ask Siri to show your contact
information, then Siri should respond by asking you what informati
I ask SIRI “Show me contact information for John Smith”. SIRI tells me “Here’s
contact information for John Smith”. But of course it’s not the Contact app,
open to John Smith. How do I use VO to get access to what SIRI is trying to
show me on the screen?
