I suspect the installation didn't complete because you're still getting the
message asking you to install Vmware tools. That goes away after a successful
install. I'm not sure how to resume an install or whether it's even possible,
perhaps someone else know that. However my solution would be

You need to delete your Virtual machine again and when re-installing again,
choose seemless when it asks if if you want isolated or seemless.

VoiceOver can't read anything WIndows related, that's what you really need to
remember. If you used Easy Install which you most likely did, you shouldn't
encounter any problems. Those buttons you refer to are those on the toolbar. It
can sometimes take longer to install for some people, but
