I had the same results iwth my braille pen. The mac sees it paired but
thinks its a computer.

Thanks so much for your continued suggestions. Strangely enough, when using
VoiceOver and VoiceOver Utility, no braille display was detected, even though
the Brailliant was in range. With VoiceOver off, and by going into VoiceOver

I've restore the defaults several times. The display is not working on USB or
Bluetooth. In VoiceOver Utility, the Brailliant does not show up at all.

pairing within the VoiceOver utility in order for the device to be seen as a
braille display.
You can do this under the braille section of the VO utility.

I have an older Brailliant 40 display. It is working correctly with my iPhone
4, however, it is not working with an older MacBook, or my brand new MacBook
air. I can pair it with bluetooth and cannot connect it. It is not working at
all with USB.
