can tell you how to solve it until you restart. Press command+control+q to lock
your screen, then type your password and press enter to unlock it again.

single letter quick nav and allow typing in text fields when using single key

Yes, I experience the same thing. The best way I have found to get around this
is to open the PDF file in preview, press command+a to select all of the text,
then press command+c to copy it. Then I paste it in to text edit and read it
from there.

When it comes to Chrome, it's good to have around. There are some things that
it does better than safari, particularly some drop lists to not speak in safari
but work fine in Chrome. Chrome also now has the ability to describe images
that are not labeled.

First thing I would do is erase the drive and do a clean fresh install. I

Interestingly, I am setting up one of my mac minis with mojave now and this
issue was not happen, works fine, so it appears to be specific to certain types
of macs.

Just to follow up on this issue, it also happens while installing dropbox,
there is simply no way to enter the administrator password, either I am missing
something or this is a major bug.
