First, no need to apologize. You did care, so you replied to my thread and
tried to help me.
I’m mad with the idea itself, that navigating through arrow keys is very good
for productivity and not good for durability of the keyboard which we use
almost for everything.

Believe me, it’s not all that complicated. In fact, what I detailed is actually
fairly simple. Now, if you want complicated, try partitioning that drive with
multiple logical partitions, then formatting them for a different Filesystem
each and then mounting them under Linux. *THAT* gets complica
You can also find many keyboard commands for most applications on the Mac, by
going to the Menu Bar, and browsing through the pull down menus.
In Zoom for example, most common keyboard commands can be found in the pull
down menus of the menu Bar.

It’s my pleasure Tim. It’s great to see that it appears Apple has improved the
accessibility of the process significantly.

Hi,
If you open Zoom on your Mac, then press cmd-comma to bring up Zoom
Preferences, interact with the table and navigate down to Keyboard Shortcuts,
they’ll all be listed there.

Hi,
Yes, I guess that it is possible. The M1 architecture is different than that
of the Intel and thus they may have improved that functionality. Thanks for
the heads-up, I’ll look into using VO in Safe mode on one of the M1’s here.

I've been using Zoom on my old iPad mini but it won't log into facebook any
more because it only goes up to IOS9. is there some place where I can find
keyboard commands for using it with a Mac?
thanks.

Hi Tim,
Is it possible that safe mode functions differently on M1 machines? I followed
the steps I found via Google search that involved booting to the startup /
recovery menu, selecting the normal startup drive and holding down the Shift
key to make the Continue button change to continue in sa
Hi Tim,
Thank you very much for your comments. Yes, I just touch it. No need to press
on it. Attach it and it go right to the desktop.

Hi,
Great explanation Les. The only thing that I’d add, is that it only requires a
touch on the button, no need to press on it. If you wish to add a second
finger, go to System Preferences, Touch ID.

Hi Andrew,
You will find the touch ID button at the very top right corner of the MacBook
Air. I think I’ll be referred to it as the power button which it might be, but
I haven’t had to use that button to start the machine. Basically what happens
is when you lift the lid you hear the start of so
Wouldn’t it be on the power button?

Hi,
It sounds naive to ask but where would i find touch ID on latest macbook air?
Is it readily identifiable? I’ve searched on the internet but found no
indication as to where you put your finger for your print to be read.

Hi,
I apologize if I gave you the impression that I didn’t care about your
situation. I definitely was not suggesting in any way shape or form that you
should choose Windows over Mac. I’m not sure where those comments are coming
from.

Hi,
Safe mode is not accessible to VO so I wouldn’t go there. The values are
definitely configurable in the regular GUI interface.

TIm,
Thanks for the additional referenc. I had a "system health check" yesterday

They used the sysadminctl to ensure that admin had a token, changed the admin
password, installed code 42 crash plan ( it was in self service, so I suppose
