Hi folks.
So, I've got windows 10 installed via boot camp.
Every now and then, when I restart the mac, I hear the windows startup
sound, but I also hear a short beep.
I wonder if it because I have a USB hub plugged in, with 2 drives
connected to it?
Seems to only beep when I have the hub p

Thank you ET,
I’m sure I followed your instructions, and finally found the update button.
Just don’t ask me exactly what I did as I couldn’t tell you. But at least it is
updated now.
Take care,

Hi all,
When I opened the Mac this morning I got a notification telling me I had one
update in the App Store. I pressed VO space on the Update Now button, that was
about 5 hours ago and it is still saying pending when I look in the App Store.
It is the iMovie App.
Should I just ignore it? I cou

Hi,
Agreed. It could be charged twice a day if that's what is needed. It's kind
of a cycle thing, not a number of charges thing. For example if you charge it
from 30 to 70% one day, and from 20 to 80% the next day, then you've charged it
one cycle. That is, you charged it 40% the first day,
You really should be fine charging it once a day.

how to charge or when to charge the Iphone?
Normally i sued to charge my other Iphones every day but is that really good

I am really unsure about this and i don’t want to destroy the battery on the
Hi,
Depends on the device. An Apple BT keyboard or mouse is available as soon as
the iMac is turned on. I've only used old fashioned 3.5 mm headphones when
messing with base level activities, so I'm not positive as to when BT sound
would be available. My educated guess would be that you are
Hi Petrus,
I tend to have this feature turned off as well. Depending on the length of the
call, my level of comfort etc, I, too, often had my iPhone changing to speaker
phone mode mid-call. Very annoying and distracting and possibly embarrassing
if there are others around when it changes over
Ahh ok. My neckloop is mono. One of these days I will get BT
headphones. Only thing is, other than lack of funds, BT is not available
until after login, right?

Hi Tim,
Thanks for that explanation. I’ve heard about the side button thing before but
could never get it to work. However I have always had auto select while on call
turned on. However I might turn that off now as one thing that was bugging me

Hi,
thanks for digging deeper ET. Positional Audio is usually only important when
you have headphones or ear-buds on. What it does is give you a representation
of where VO is focused in stereo. IF the VO cursor is off to the right of the
screen, then you'll hear it more in your right ear. A
Tim and Simon,
After more testing, it looks like turning off the first 3 options in
VO Utility, under Sound solved it. "Enable Positional Audio" may be the
key. I get the same results in the beta partition.
Simon, try disabling that option and let me know.

Hi,
One extra side note, to further explain what someone mentioned earlier in this
thread.
• pressing any of the up//down volume buttons or side button once while your
iPhone is ringing, will silence the ringer.
• pressing a second time automatically sends the call to your VoiceMail.

I've learned:
It appears that the state of Auto Select While On Call is the main factor on an
iPhone for this side button thing.

Yes, Simon, if these new iPads are like my old mini, you can use those new

home button. And the iPad Mini at least still has the big besel. So you can
often put your finger where the new jesters start to be invoked when

Hey Simon,
Thanks, but that was the first thing I tried. It doesn't work. :) However,
Tim's suggestion of CTRL-right arrow works like a charm.

Yes in the android os you can or at least use to be able to set the power
button and home buttons to either answer or end a call,
But as a lot of the phones now don’t have home buttons or at least physical
ones this may have changed.
I’ve never seen this on my ios devices.

But yet didn't I read that on the new iPads you can use some of the newer

I can't remember where I heard that or read it.

Hi mat,
The worst that could happen is it starts up on the external drive or just
doesn't start as the external doesn't have a bootable system.
When you have windows up and running,
Plug your external drive in and then search from the start menu for disk
management,
In this find the drive a

Hmmm, interesting,
I can't pick what it might be.
I've had no issue from it the passed 2 days but that's only because I'm
currently working with windows 10 so not a lot of dealing with the mac just now.

Yeah what a bummer,
I was kind of hoping for the new mini to have the previously rumoured smart
keyboard or new smart folio keyboard.
Oh well I will still think of getting one for now and see what Logitech have in
the way of keyboards / folio cases for the mini.
I would like smaller rather tha
