Easy peasy. Just do the following.
1. Forget the public folder. That's not the way to do it anymore. You want
to put the file in the main Drop Box folder.
2. Now, open the short cut menu after focusing on the file.

when adding 1 or 2 files to the library though. In most cases, I drop my
content in to the automatically add to iTunes folder, it's located in iTunes,
