Hello Anouk, Be assured that OSX Maverick, as well as OSX Yosemite, handle Google mail just fine. In fact, Apple has gone out of its way to make Mail work with the Google Labeling feature, said feature being singularly unique and, in my opinion, a royal pain in the butt.
The issue you described is well known. To resolve your problem, simply login to your gMail account via your preferred web browser. Go to the Settings area of the account and select to have the All Mail Label be displayed. After that, log out, restart your computer and Mail should work just fine. I have auto updates turned on. My problem is that messages which i deleted from my inbox AND from the trash still reappear in my inbox folder even if mail quits normally. The othe rpborlem is that sometimes mail does not want to quit, i get a message could not move (name of message) tot he trash folder. I then have to force quit. Are there any know solutions for this? I thought i would be past this after some updates about half a year ago. Thansk in advance for any info.
