HELP! Installing new .cls file

Hi! First thanks for replying! What you did sounds fine for getting the new class installed under MiKTeX. Just as insurance, you might open a command window and type 'kpsewhich new_class.cls' (without the quotes, and changing new_class to the name of your class file). It should spit up t

Hi again! The location is correct. Did you edit the contents of the layout file? Specifically, did you change the argument of the \DeclareLaTeXClass command near the top of the layout file? That tells LyX what to name the class in the list of layouts. If you don't change that, either y
