Ok, I'm probably missing something here, but I can't find a class named docsummary in MiKTeX's package manager, and I can't find it on CTAN. Just to confirm, you have a class named docsummary.cls installed, right? Did you write it yourself?
Yes, that's my layout file which I somehow want to make lyx recognize! You asked me about this, remember, said that if I wanted to create a new class, I had to change the first line to avoid conflicts(which is what I had done already).

Ooops, that was stupid of me. I had been reading the user's guide and somehow missed the customization guide altogether...
Anyway, I read a bit of that and managed to create a small docsummary.layout file which (I hope) manages to do what I want it to. I can't test it though, because the old problem of lyx actually "seeing" my layout file is still there. I keep updating miktex, then reconfiguring lyx, but it just won't appear with the other layouts. What am I missing?
