Ctrl-PageUp/Down work on a Mac if you are using the default emacs.bind
file. I myself prefer the mac.bind bindings for switching buffers so
have added the lines
\bind "M-Tab" "buffer-next"
\bind "M-S-BackTab" "buffer-previous"
to my customized emacs.bind in ~/Library/Application Support/LyX-1.5/bind.

I'm always hesitant to complain about this brilliant piece of software but,
for me (Mojave 10.14.2 Beta) with this version, forward search (LyX ⟶ Skim)
is still very slow and reverse search (Skim ⟶ LyX) appears to be
nonfunctional. I've of course checked all the usual settings.

Gentle LyX folk,
I have installed LyX 2.3.3 on a Dell XPS laptop and, Lo, the installation's

crucial for inverse search. Is this an oversight? Or is it now in some
other directory?
Thanks.

Rich,
The Better BibTeX Zotero plug-in
(https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/) beautifully
integrates Zotero and BibTeX. I did an initial import of my (very large)
BibTeX file into Zotero and now use Zotero exclusively, relying on the
plug-in to update my BibTeX file whenever I make changes in
fast or even faster
despite the emulation layer. It would be great to get confirmation of this
for LyX (hence also for TeX).
2. What are the plans for creating native LyX binaries for these new Macs?
Thanks.

Run the "MikTeX Console" app. After it starts you might have to click the
option to "Run as Administrator". When it comes back up, click on "Updates"
and then "Check for Updates" and, after it finds all the packages it can
update, click on "Update now".

s. A solution that works reasonably well for me
is to use uControl (http://gnufoo.org/ucontrol/ucontrol.html) to map
CapsLock to Cmd, which, for LyX anyway, puts what is effectvely the

still goes off and on...).

it is very awkward to switch to LyX and use Cmd.

Meta; that role is given to the Cmd key (as with X11 emacs under OS X).
IMO, this is far superior, as it requires less of a stretch and, more

So, unable to resist the siren call of the latest and greatest software, I
