And the Zotero browser extension is fantastic — just click on it from a Google scholar page or journal page or any other page with bibliographic info and it automagically creates a new Zotero entry for you with all the relevant bib info in your preferred citation format. Better BibTeX then immediately updates your BibTeX file so you can cite the new entry right away in LyX (or Word, if you have to use it, which has a nice Zotero plug-in). BibDesk is excellent but I myself stopped having any need for it long ago. (YMMV, of course — BibDesk still has features that others might find essential.) Chris Menzel
