Hello,
in lyx 1.4.4 in windows when inserting a float in between two paragraphs, some
whitespace is added between the two paragraphs, where normally just an
indentation would be present for a new paragraph. I think this can be
contributed to the fact that first an enter is given after the parag

a precompiled Qt4.2?
Here, I assume that you had had already compiled Qt4.2 by yourself.
If that is so, then the procedure is simple, just grap the latest

Hello
This is what I have done:
1. Everything before \appendix I left they way it was
2. I copied the LaTeX code that created fancy headers just after \appendix
3. I added \makeatletter just before this LaTeX code, changed \chaptername
with [EMAIL PROTECTED], and added \makeatother right after t
Hi, I'm using LyX to prepare an article for Astronomy and Astrophysics
(A&A article).
Recently (June 2006) A&A introduced the new version 6 of its class file,
whose main change was about the so-called "structured abstract". To cut
short a long story, the only way to make the present version of t
Sorry for this
It was some other problem with page numbering not related to the header.
Everything appears to work well now
Thank you

You could try exporting from Quark to some format LyX will import. Or if
you can export to a format that Open Office writer will open, that will
export to LaTeX. Of course, with all the conversions, who knows how good
the output would be.

Hi, I'm working on a Elsevier article class. When I try to compyle the

If I export it to LaTeX and try to compile it, there's no p
I have solved it, but had to move the bibliography to the document folder.
I still haven't solved the original problem I presented this week,
while trying to use "apalike" package with any document class, a list

Hello Everyone,
I'm using LYX to create a science lab manual, and I'm frustrated over the
numbering of the Sections in the TOC.
Since it only lists the start page of the Section and not the range for the
whole section (i.e.)
Lab 1 6
The first subsection is right after the Section,
