I am a newbie of Lyx. So if this is a stupid question please don't
ignore it, just tell me which keyword I should drop in Google.
I am using Debian testing. I tried to add png, eps graphics to my lyx
file, it can display the pictures in edit mode. But when I try to view
as dvi I go

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your reply. Now I can see the figures in DVI. (well,
actually my original file was somehow damaged. I can only copy all the
text and start a new file. Then it works).
p.s. Pity that LyX tutorial from help menu did not tell me this.

Thanks for reply. I can view images inside LyX. The problem was when I
want view from DVI, it reports an error.
Andrew's suggestion did the magic.
