Hello,
the attached file demonstrates a problem in my version (1.3.2) of Lyx.
Maybe sb can check whether this problem (missing $ signs if you convert s.th.
to math mode by selecting it and clicking math mode button) persists?
Thanks for your work & attention.

I'am a LyX beginner and quite happy with it. The problem I meet
shouldn't be really original, and before digging deep in LyX-TeX-LaTeX

Hi,
I inserted two images side by side and this works fine as long I insert
two eps-files. If I want to insert an eps- and a jpg-file the jpg-image
looks much smaller than the eps although both columns are sized 50% and
the images within their columns are sized 100%. The jpg-file seems to

Well,
To track down this annoyance we need to know something of your system
configuration at home.
List the following information:
1. Operating System
2. glibc library version and its locales listing.
For example, myself:
1. Debian Unstable (2.6.5 kernel)
2. locales 2.3.2.ds1-1
3. glibc-2.3.2

Hi!
First thanks to all who helped me with my last problem (seperation of figures
from text).
Now I found another one:
I have splitted my Thesis chapterwise in seperate files (for easier editing)
and put them all together in a Main File consisting only of Include-Tags
(Include-Type "Input") for t
Sorry I forgot to add the Main File...
Should be attached here.

I hate the webmail access to my mail account... Now the last chance for it, I
hope it *can* add attachments...

Hi,
I was using Lyx 1.2.1 and I was having a problem in which all my embedded
references were cited as [?] instead of the number, e.g. [42]. I am using
Bibtex and the references all appear correctly in the bibliography at the
end of the document.
I thought I would upgrade my version, so I do
I have a Lyx document that I originally formatted with no-indent, skip
between paragraphs. I decided to go back to no-skip with paragraph
indents. However, it does not revert. I still get skips, not indents.
Interestingly, _some_ paragraphs do indent -- the accidental ones

Did you run the conversion twice?
In the first run latex creates a file in which it stores where refere
Zipping seems to be an unnecessary workaround. I tested a few files and
submitted via my remote mail server and nothing was lost in the files during
submission or fetch.
What is your Mail Server you use?
Postfix works quite well for this without the need of zip, though zip does add
the benefit

I think the idea is sound, but I can't comment on the Python code.

Hello!
Is it possible to cross-reference directly to a subfigure, perhaps by labeling
it? I tend to dislike adding (a) or (b) to the reference to the caption of the
figure-float...
Thanks for helping

I use matlab and LyX all the time. I would simply suggest staying away
from jpgs. The jpg output from matlab is usually poor quality and it
only gets worse when the LyX output is produced. Enlighten me if there
is a reason that jpg is the only way to go.
