Sorry, I don't know MatLab... But I think I can show you the workaround :) If you LeftClick on the Image in LyX the Graphics Dialog opens. In the Clipping Tab you accept "Clip to Bounding Box" and then enter the dimension of the BoundingBox. Attention: The values for both Left Bottom and Right Top are counted from the Left Bottom of the original picture! When I first used it I thought it was the amount to be cropped in both cases... ;-)
