Hi Marvin,
I had the same pb as you have so I wrote my template from a Latex Class

you can find it on

I found an interesting way to do that.
Using fprintf funtion in Octave to generate Latex code works, but it's
kind of anoying having to use duble dashes everytime. And besides, I
lose the facility of syntax highlighting in the Vim editor, since I'm
editing an Octave file and not a Latex one.
And
I found two interesting manuals for beginners:
- A Simplified Introduction to Latex (http://www.cudenver.edu/~hgreenbe/)
- The Not So Short Introduction to Latex2e (I think I got it from
www.ctan.org or www.tug.org).

That's the same version installed here.

Because, as a GUI application, no one considered adding that option to be
parsed on the command line.

I am writing a manual using LyX (and I love it!), and need to include some
screen shots in my LyX-document. What is the most easy way to do this?
I am on a machine primary running KDE with Screen Capture which delivers
png.

My math-panel is at edit menu. It does not have enough math symbols too.
Anyway, I made a bunch of key bindings and bind every symbol I need to keys.
It is all in the form of
\bind "C-s something" "math-insert symbol"
Even lyx can not display some of the symbols, they can be compiled and
print
ok, team. i'm on the road to recovery. i've located my symbol on the
web, i put it in my lyx document, and it spits out the following error:
Load the latexsym or the amsfonts package to define this symbol. yay.
but what does that mean, where do i find it, and how do i do it?

Hi
I have two questions (the attached file is in lyx-1.1.6fix4)
In the example file, it will use scriptstyle only for the first element of
the column and row that I use for labeling. What am I doing wrong?
Also, can I have some of the elements of the first column aligned to right

Sorry I forgot to mention this:
If I go ahead and type \scriptstyle{v_2} etc.. the dvi will look fine. I save
the file, open it again, but I have the same problem. Only the first element
will seem to be in scriptstyle...
Thanks
