Hi,
I create a titlepage with \begin{titlepage} ... \end{titlepage} and
do not use \title and so on.
Now there is an error when I try to compile my document in Lyx 1.0.4:
!LaTeX Error: No \title given.
l. 123 \tableofcontents
In the exported tex-file of my lyx-file is the command \maketitle.

Hi,
I'm using LyX 1.0.4 and I'd like to enable some *.layout, as I cannot
find them (e.g. iletter, literate_book, docbook etc.) in
Layout->Document->Class but they are in the /usr/local/share/lyx/layouts
directory. I cannot get them either by choosing Options->reconfigure or
by running ./configur

It would be great if someone could supply me with an example of how to set the
TEXINPUTS variable in bash. I don't seem to be getting it to work.
Thanks very much.

Hi,
Has anybody already created a LyX layout for the LaTeX nassi package
or the flow package (Nassi Schneiderman diagrams or flow diagrams)?
Thanks for any suggestion.

Folks
How can I turn off in LyX the feature that erases blank lines
automatically ??
I need to have these blank lines: it helps me think about the text
on-line and then insert new text between paragraphs.
In fact, I would also like to print the document
with these inserted blank lines.

Is it possible to have a enhanced class letter in lyx ?

Unix IS user friendly... but it is just selective about who its
friends are !
What I'd like to see added to lyx is support for some of the various
amsmath options for multiline equations, such as multline, align,
gather, etc. I know that you can just type in the latex code, but
then it doesn't show any nice display within lyx.

Hi everyone,
I've been helping my seven year old son sell popcorn for his cub scout troop.
Since I'm a geek and have nothing better to do, I created a
spreadsheet (in gnumeric, the GNOME spreadsheet program) which made
it easy to track the name, phone number and the various sales
that he made.

Use a floating figure:
Insert->Float->Figure Float
Fill in the caption provided.
Hello,
The LyX UserGuide doesn't explain the "Options: Do Translations"
for figures. Is that an unimplemented option yet, or does it do
something beautiful? Who knows anytyhing about that?
Thanks,
Rob.
