I have the same setup. In the math edit mode the \Omega is invisible as

I am running LyX under Mac OS X 10.7.5. In the math edit mode the mathematical
symbols are not displayed correctly. For example instead of an integral I get
an accented "o".
I tried running LyX debug mode (-dbg mathed) and in the log I found lines of
the kind

I guess it is a math font problem, but I cannot find a solution.
Do you have any idea?
I have the same problem on Win XP. Lyx 1.4.3-5 (and I think -4)
installs display fonts in a directory under the LyX root, and then
apparently installs them

BUT: there's another problem now: Math symbols becomes garbage! I've

I've just installed the new Mac-LyX 1.3.5, and it seems faster on my

If one doesn't exist on the ftp site, then YES.
make rpmdist
should be all you need to do.

Sorry, I have no idea. My lyx-1.3.3. is now working fine. So I will give it up
to ascertain the reasons why there are no math-fonts in lyx-1.3.2 under SuSE

Hello List,
I have used lyx 1.3.0 under SuSE 8.2 with installed latex-ttf-fonts. With this
version, the mathematical symbols were displayed correct in the math mode.
Since I have updated to SuSE 9.0 and lyx 1.3.2, there is no correct math mode.
Of course, I have re-installed the latex-ttf-fonts

Hello,
As the subject says, greek symbols are broken on screen

This seems there since 1.3.0 (earlier messages in teh mailing list),
and the fix mentioned in the 1.3.3 release :
- fix loading of symbol fonts on solaris
doesn't help.
Which fonts are missing ?

Hi,
Thank you for the advice.
The workaround I chose for now is to install
and activate the preview-latex package. But I will
be looking forward to the new LyX-1.3.3 !
