I use BibDesk and I meant, that I do save in utf-8 there. The wiki
says, that this should work:

Dear Dominik, dear listmembers,
In BibTex I save in utf-8 (unicode). In Lyx 1.6.1 I use Unicode
(XeTeX) (utf8), and I didn´t change that when I compiled without the
Xetex-line in the preamble. So now I tried without the line and
entered Unicode (utf8). I have got this code then:

I have also done that. Everything worked fine, before I´ve chosen
biblatex-dw as citation style, the standard-styles work fine. I also
added this line:
\usepackage[style=authortitle-dw]{biblatex}
and I have disabled this one, with which I worked before trying to
use
biblatex-dw:

I´ve had biblatex-dw installed in that folder before, and did it
again
now – with the same results. But I tried to get a minimal-sample now,
and there it seems, that biblatex-dw is not able to find my

From a few weeks of usage of LyX I find that the error messages
I get from LyX is rather meaningless. It appears to my that LyX
cuts away exactly the important parts. I would suggest you look
at the LaTeX log,

Actually, on Mac the user's TeX folders are at ~/Library/texmf/tex.
That way when you update your TeX installation, you won't overwrite
I believe you need to run "sudo texhash" from the terminal
after installing new packages.

it to work with Lyx 1.6.1. I did the following:
