This package can be found on CTAN, but requires the installation of
adobe's eurofont-package for use of T1-fonts.

Try this: (assuming a UN*X system)

this should get you a sorted (ignoring case: leave out the -f switch to
preserve case) and double-free list.

Well, well,
here we go again ;-)
- LyX lets you write content without being bothered by layout more than
deciding what *kind* of content you're writing (heading, paragraph,
standard text,...) and what *kind* of document you're writing (report,
article,...). There is no such thing as tabbing (o

compiling lyx-1.1.6 works... (at least without -fno-rtti and using the

Hi All!
Don't know whether this is lyx-related..., but is a rather strange
behaviour and might be of interest.
since this year (stress on THIS) the documents I wrote last year (or the
ones I start now) seem to
get corrupted during export to pdf (no matter, whether ps2pdf or pdflatex
is used). T

Hi All!
I'm surprised that so many people seem to have problems wiht umlauts in formulas...
I suggest upgrading to lyx-1.1.5fix2, but Iam sure that waht herbert described (that
was what I usually use) worked in almost all lyx-1.1.* versions.

Just write (in LaTeX-mode \"a or \"u or whatever you need to get umlauted...
another way is to switch over to text-in-formula-mode (toggle the math-button) and
type the ü or ä directly (sorry for the umlauts to all the non-Germans)
or type M-c-r and you are able to have normal text inside the mat
Hi All!
thought that it might be of general interest that I solved the mysteries
of runtime errors (didn't detect the lyx-version correctly) when compiling
with an athlon-optimized gcc-2.95.3.
The error is easy enough once you know where to look:
Line 1097 of buffer.C compares the float read fro

though reducing the optimization doesnt bring a change apart from slowing

Hi All!
I just patched my gcc to make use of my athlon box ;-)
BUT:
compiling lyx-1.15.fix1 works fine without errors;
starting up as well (unbelievably fast...);
opening an document (existing or just saved doesn't matter) results in
the error message that this is an lyx-0.10 document and cant be
Hi!
this is a far shot
I guess the class is missing the paragraph-style standard which lyx
puts the first line in..
(I had the same problem converting letters between different
classes)
Try getting a template (there must be some lying around) and modify it.

Hi All!
I guess I found another bug in 1.1.5
Trying to have umlauts in equations via LaTeX (\"a, eg) doesn't seem to
work anymore: results in missing charcter in ps or pdf
Only solution is to go into "text in equation"-mode, which is a bit
annoying.

Well, maybe I missed something, but there's one big thing:
My copy of LyX (1.1.5pre3) is still not able to draw a border around an
included image (it does in the LyX-window, but neither in latex,ps, nor
pdf).
I always had to do it by hand using some LaTeX-commands I've forgotten
because I put th
