Hello,
Another basic newbie question:
I would like to extend the book layout with the "Chapterprecis" from the
book (memoir)" layout. It is probably naive to assume this is as simple as
copying book.layout and copying the Chapterprecis style from memoir layout.
Can anyone tell me a bit about the

Hello!
Hopefully this question has a simple answer. I'm working on a book which has
a table of contents. Is there any way to get the TOC to have dot leaders
between the chapter names and the page numbers?
Thanks,
Tad
Howdy!
I have a few manuscripts in convering to LyX for a friend. They are
plain text files. Are there any utilities that can help me with the
transformation of the double quotes to a `` and '' format (or whatever
format I should be using)?
Thanks,
Tad
(which does not work).
Any ideas?

I don't think that's the real problem :(
Here I added one section... my HOWTO is more complex than this test doc.

Hello,
I'm trying to write a little Translation-HOWTO for the needs of my team,
and I thought using LyX with "SGML (DocBook article)" class would be
ideal for me since I don't know SGML.
Everything is great until I try to convert file to html or dvi/ps/pdf. I
run Slack 8, I have installed it's

Hi all,
after installing 1.1.6fix3 I get a SIGSEGV when choosing
Edit->Preferences.
It doesn't matter whether I have a document open or not.
I tried to rename my .lyx dir to force lyx to create a new one but that
didn't help either.
Any ideas what is going wrong here?

Hi,
after installing 1.1.6fix3 I can't view my dvi with kdvi anymore.
On the console kdvi complains about an unknown option -paper.
However, with 1.1.6fix1 and fix2 this worked perfectly. Does anybody
know how to get lyx and kdvi working together again?
Thanks,
Marko

I sent a patch to the maintainers but got no reply - so I don't know
if gbib is still being maintained.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any.
