Ah... I compared this file to the file at LyX.app/Contents/

I've not ever modified it directly, but does this get modified
through changing preferences within LyX?
I had a look inside the file itself, and
oolbars.ui"
Toolbars
"standard" "on,top"
"extra" "on,top"
"table" "table,bottom"
"math" "math,bottom"
"minibuffer" "off,bottom"
End

Hmmm, perhaps this is the problem. My View > Toolbars menu only has
five items: Standard, Extra, Table, Math, Command Buffer.
No sign of "Math Panels."

Lee.

with no popup menus, etc. I can't remember precisely, but I suspect
it is the same as the LyX 1.4 toolbar.

Hi,
I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the Math toolbar in the new
1.5.0 and 1.5.1 versions (Mac OS X 10.4.10 PPC).
I can only utilise the basic toolbar (with delimiters, etc.), which I
turn from the View > Toolbar > Math menu. I don't have anything like
the new one as shown here:
real pain to have to type this ERT in every time and
forgo any of the GUI capabilities of LyX within these items!
Any quick and easy suggestions that will allow me to keep the rest of
LyX happening?
Thanks again,
Lee.

One other question, does anyone know what all those blah.lyx~ files

icated the new file in LyX. This still didn't seem to work
in the exported pdf, although the LaTeX formatting appears equivalent
to the "extended features" example... Any other suggestions?

Quite frustrating!
Any ideas?

a dot product sign, I get
"×" and other symbols such as theta are similarly represented.
I know this is probably just issues with my (old) palm's programs
(Plucker), but would there be a way to force htlatex to encode more
primitively and convert more symbols to png?
Thanks,
Lee.

Hi,
I've just dowloaded Lyx 1.3.7, and am using it on a mac OS X
10.4.5. I'm finding it very cool, a little bit of a learning
curve to start with,
i got that too, but that made no difference.
I googled exhaustively, and checked the wiki, but to no avail. If
anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Lee.
