x, the system dir is still /usr/local/share/lyx (not my
prefix!).
I copied lyx2lyx there. I also copied the missing unicode symbols to my
.lyx. Now things work.
I think there's something wrong with the makefile and these files, at least
when specifying a prefix...

advanced search and replace should leave you where you were after finishing,

I started using side notes, fantastic feature. While they look good on the
screen, the get cut because most printers cannot print when getting close to
the borders of the paper.

The tab completion doesn't work either. that is, I see the list of

I also think it could be qt related. I've spent the afternoon switching from
lxde, gnome, and kde envs and trying different wm. It seems that it's mostly

I have to say, I still find slowness overall. On both sabayon and ubuntu.
Everybody I know describes LyX as lighting fast. And it has the most useful
outliner I know (and getting better). It'd be a pity we cannot have both

Hi,
I'm full-time linux, but put lytex (portable lyx) on a win laptop. I tried
to use the excellent LyZ (zotero binding) but didn't seem to find lyxpipe.
Is there any known problem with lytex and lyxpipe?

Hi,
Most LaTeX/Lyx docs I see around are multipart. And often we need to search.
Is search in all child files possible? so far I haven't found a way. I use a
text editor for that. glaring Omission?

Hi,
This is really weird.
When the screensaver kicks in, my keyboard doesn't send events to lyx (?)
If I select another window, kb works. Then I go back to LyX and everything
is fine again.
Anyone can report similar weird results? Workaround?
Ubuntu 9.10, LyX 1.6.4

ditors there's a clumsiness
of going from one file to another and then back to the original. This bubble
idea could go a long way.
I thought I'd drop it here. LyX has the best outliner I know of, but it'd be
good to keep an eye on new concepts.
