devoid of legible content? e.g. blurred and turned into a raster image or
simply blanked out with nothing visible and no way to recover the missing
content (i.e. not simply using white text).

I can confirm this problem.
My suggestion is to type out the latex form for characters rather than
using the palettes. This is faster, but does require that you know the
latex form.

I have been using LyX on a Retina-MBP since these were first released a few
years back, and use LyX frequently. While I would love to see native
retina support in LyX, a lack of support would certainly not dissuade me
from purchasing a retina MBP and using LyX on it daily.

I have installed Lyx (several times!) on two Mint16 machines; one a
32-bit version and the other 64-bit. Mint is based on Ubuntu 13. In
both cases, when installing either from a download from the Lyx site or
via the .deb repository, it installs without any classes or layouts;
i.e., it is not v
Note that some things won't work as nice - like the "preview" option
available for some ERT or equations which get typeset in place by running
latex in the background. Other than that, it should work as a text editor
just fine.

I have several big tables that I've imported data from a spreadsheet. I have
to join two columns across multiple rows down, i.e. I need to join columns
2and3, 4and5, 6and7 but all the way down the table for multiple rows. I
can do it using multicolumn, but
I'm using Lyx 2.0.0rc3 on Ubuntu Linux. When I create a table, and set the
document orientation to landscape, it shows the table on the screen but it is
truncated on the right side of the screen and I can not get to it to see or
correct that part of the table. It compiles to pdf correctly but
supplied with LyX for forward search with Skim).
It opens a file, but does not position itself anywhere near the requested
line. Can anyone duplicate this?

I've tried to install a new document class, using latex macro files supplied by
a journal called "Bayesian Analysis". I'm not sure they work right, my
installation of Lyx 2.0 RC1 on ubuntu 64 linux seems to work ok for other
formats. When I try to use this document class I get an error such a
nother machine.
Can't LyX sort through this issue in the same manner as it does with
graphics paths, i.e. by transforming relative paths to absolute paths when
the LaTeX is exported to the temporary directory? So behind the scenes, LyX
could change:
\subimport{ relative path }
to
\import{ absolute path }
when it exports the temporary files...

Sorry all - false alarm. For whatever reason, when I installed 1.6.7, the
default LyX switched to 2.0alpha4 on my system, and I did not notice this.
So it turns out that scrolling and dialogue boxes work fine in 1.6.7.

So I updated the old MikTex from 2.5 to 2.8 and deleted and reinstalled
Lyx 1.6 and referenced the tex.exe file in new MikTex .
