The easiest solution would be running the output of "Export to Plain
Latex" through a LaTeX-equivalent of tidy

Hi,
is there a way to customize the enumeration style that's used by LyX for
displaying enumerations? Note, that I'm not talking about the
enumeration styles used in the produced document. I know how to change
those. FWIW, I'm still using LyX 1.3.5.
I'd prefer a way to do this via layout files

A minipage is just like any other box treated by TeX/LaTeX as a single
character. As such, by definition, it cannot span multiple pages.
Maybe using a table is a possible

combination with some introduction to LaTeX is necessary to be able to
make best use of LyX. At least, I consult it quite often. I guess most
information can also be found on the net. So YMMV.

In my opinion, at least for books in German scrbook (the KOMA-Script
book class) makes it very easy. It's quite configurable but of course
it will nevertheless not fit
I said, unless you want to do math formulae.
Maybe for your special use case you are right. But in general you are
completely mistaken. LyX/LaTeX can be used to typeset any kinds of
documents. For example I write all my letters with LyX, because I never
have to worry about correct spacing or
tion to LyX
which is available under Help->Introduction.
