Hi all.
I'll be submitting my thesis soon. The university requires that the thesis be
printed on one side only, but (poor me) all the printers I have access to are
duplex by default.
I don't want to manually change the settings on the printer. Is there a way to
force LyX to generate postscript
Hello!
I'm currently writing my thesis and need to have some code snippets as part of
it. Unfortunately, because I'll be using double spacing, simply putting the
code in and changing it to a typewriter font, or using Lyx-Code causes the code
to be double spaced as well, making it really hard to
Hi all.
I didn't see this in any bugs documentation, so I don't know if it's just me. I
just compiled my own lyx 1.14 with the fix1 patch. Every now and then the
program just seems to disappear (crash I guess). It doesn't leave a core file
behind, but when I restart the program it tells me it's
Previously I couldn't find anything that allowed one to do resumes with Lyx. Is
this now possible? If not, can someone please point me to a good
(maintained?) package that would allow me to write resumes in LaTeX?
Thanks.
Woah I just realized that there is a man page for LyX and it talks about
command line options for screen colors.
My question remains, however. I can change the background color now but I
still cannot seem to change the foreground color using the -???Color
arguments. -Reverse makes it white but I
Is it possible to change the default screen & font colors? A dark
background with light text would be really, really great. I don't see any
mention of doing this in any of the documentation.
Thanks.

Thanks. I know where to head for information now :)

Hi. Thanks for replying.
Because of the font problem ps2pdf produces PDF files that are extremely
ugly (not to mention slow to render) when viewed on the screen. It's

Hi all.
I've come upon a curious problem. I've been writing a lot of stuff lately
and had to generate some postscript and pdf files. Since Lyx doesn't
generate PDF directly yet, I exported to Latex and used latex and pdflatex
(from tetex-latex-1.0.6).
When the document only has text, both the
Man the more I use Lyx the more I like it, but then the more quirks I
find. I didn't find this information in any FAQ. I hope this hasn't
been asked a thousand times over before.

Is there a way to sort all the references by either key or label?
It gets very messy when you have lots of them and there is no apparent
order.
Thanks for any help.
How do Lyx document classes and Latex styles relate?
Hi all.
I'm thinking of using Lyx to write my master's report. Most here know
why .. it's stable, it's clean, it works well for what it does.
I understand several others have used Lyx to write their theses. What
is an appropriate class to use? Are there classes one can install that

Hi all.
When I try to generate postscript from a Docbook document via Lyx, I
get my title displayed twice, once typeset in large, centered text,
and once more in smaller text, which I don't really want.
Although I know little about how DocBook and sgmltools work, I assume
that this must be beca
Hi all.
Alright. I've read all the messages regarding Docbook. I've installed
Lynx 1.0.4 via RPM onto my Mandrake 6.1 machine. I've installed
sgml-tools from RPM as well. I believe I read that with this, I will
be able to read/write Docbook formatted documents "out of the box".
Well, eventually
