If I insert a /note/ into the Lyx file while Change tracking is selected
(with Show changes in the output also selected) I see in the output pdf
file text near the inserted note that appears to have been changed (its

After I cut and paste a figure, Lyx 1.6.5.1 (Kubuntu-64) freezes, and I

I am trying to create two bibliographies in one document. Here is what
I did, but it failed:
1. I read the documentation on sectioned bibliographies (an unusual
step!)
2. I made two copies of my master *.bib file, with two different names

I have installed Lyx 1.6.1 on a kubuntu 64 bit (Version 8.10).
It seems to work fine, and produce correct pdf output. However, some
thing are not shown in the equations (in the Lyx editor):
integrals, summation signs, etc.
Have I neglected to install anything? I have used dpkg to install it,
I agree with you-- I SHOULD be able to see the second line as part of
the title, and I do, as my message said. The sad part is that I do NOT
see the first line, the one that came BEFORE the Cntrl-Return.

My own problems with using Lyx for a committee-composed documents are
much more prosaic:
1. It is difficult to tell which is newly inserted text vs deleted
text-- it is all blue on my screen
2. There is no tracking of who changed what, as is nicely done in MS WORD
3. There are no keyb

on one line).
Like God, Lyx moves in mysterious ways. However, since the problem went
away, all is well, at least Lyxwise.

So I did, and found how to prevent Lyx from centering numbered equations:
use the fleqn option in the Document Class under Settings.
This left-justifies the equations, which is not really what I wanted,

This is where I had put it, but somehow sudo texhash did not update the
database enough for Lyx (actually, Latex) to make use of it.
