I've recently found the 'tocloft' package particularly nice for
adjusting TOC, LOF, and LOT appearance, and it works well with
Koma-script. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a similar package
for making adjustments to the Bibliography/List of references?

How do you change the numbering of table and figure floats to include the
appendix letter. E.g.,
In Appendix A, I would like Table A1 rather than a continuous numbering

Objects manual makes a note that longtables and floats don't always play
well together, but doesn't specifically address putting a longtable in a
float.
Anyway, it would be nice to know how to customize the borders a little more,
even if it involves some TeX code hacks.

I produce most of my statistical graphics in R and move them into LyX floats.

Just in case anyone else is behind on upgrading like me...
I just used the LyXWinInstaller to upgrade from LyX 1.5.2 to LyX 1.5.3 on
WinXP and it worked great. It even preserved a Converter that I had set up
in 1.5.2 and had expected to need to re-do.

Go to Help -> EO... death becomes it when trying to open Dummy Document 1
(according to the buffer).
Happens every time for me.

two ERT commands just before the widget:
\renewcommand\bibname{References}
\addcontentsline{toc}{section}{References}
You have to put these commands after a forced page break in order to get the
right page number associated with the Biblio.
I don't like it, but it works.

it) in the Preamble and in ERT before the Bibliography in the document, but
to no avail.
I'm not great with plain L
he plain LaTeX as well,
which might save a step or two (but does not allow code editing within LyX
per se).

reinstalled, and everything worked just as you indicated. I noticed that you
edited the Wiki a bit... I went ahead and fleshed it out for pre- and post-
1.9.19 versions. Let me know if you see anything that's incorrect:
