Thanks Julien!
I did not realize you could just put the package use in the preamble.
Then the document class chosen is lyx makes no difference to the output?

idering this layout is so simple, I can't see why python would have
problems with it, not to mention no error or exit condition in this case.
Any hints?
What is the new format so I can bypass the layout2layout script?

n closer inspection its clear the layout expects something called
"obsolete.inc" which no longer exists. Everything seems to work fine
after removing the offending line from the layout.
So the bug is invalid, it was a problem with the layout.

Hello all,
I've posted the following bug against ubuntu, in LyX 1.6.4.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lyx/+bug/515804
The bug report includes screenshots that illustrate the problem.
Anyone have any ideas what could be going on here?
Thanks,

Thanks Uwe,
Its working fine now.
Looks like a ubuntu package overrode my userland moderncv class.

I've attached the LyX file up to the first section error.
What has changed so much in Lyx between these versions?

I'm posting back to the lyx list as I think it would be useful for
people to be able to use moderncv with lyx in the future without all
these issues!

Also how can I change the name of the section to "Publications" rather

Why does output bail on the \qualification{} commands?
Why does the output of the document using the layout that uses the
thesis style file not generate output that resembles the sample file?

Thank RH,
That indeed was it.
So in general I should always be careful about using underscores in LyX?

If I copy the entire test and paste it into a new document I get the

What and where should I be looking for the cause?

ually is.
Is there any way around this? (short of going through the document and

In the future perhaps a checkbox in the word-count popup that could
toggle between counting or not counting the contents of notes would be a

Thanks for the replies Paul and Juergen,
Seems apacite.sty is included in the texlive-bibtex-extra package, so
indeed it was not installed.
Installing and reconfiguring has solved the problem.

How can I get RTF export to work, and how can I get back my APA class? I
don't know what would have changed, as far as I can tell I have the same
texlive packages, just newer versions as before.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all,
Is there a way I can export my LyX document as an RTF including
footnotes, section references, images and bibliography?
I tried exporting as HTML, where most stuff works but not the
bibliography. I suppose I would need to manually convert my PDF figures
to png?

But no ACM.
I don't see a good correlation between the list of "document class" and
the text info list of classes.
Any further suggestions?
