any LyX files externally, so I do not understand why I get the
message. Since it is very irritating to have it this way I wonder if
there is a way to turn this confirming question off.

automatically deleted when LyX was shut down. Now, however, this does
not happen. The *.lyx~ files remain for ever, it seems. What have I
done wrong that makes this happen?

I am completely new to both LaTeX and LyX and have a little problem, which
probably is very stupid. When I am writing, the date is put below the title
(documentclass article), but I don't want to have the date there. Is it
possible to remove it?
