After that's done. Restart LyX and see if it finds knitr.

it's a long long time that I have been using lyx (on ubuntu previously and
on mint now) with great satisfaction, for which I cannot thank enough the
developers! :))
For a long (but, helas, shorter) time, I used to keep lyx up to date thank
to the PPA set up by Liviu Andronic but it has
I understand.
Unlikely I do not have the skills to take care of such a task :(
Maybe in the next weeks I can find the time to try to compile, in
which case I will give a feed back.
