I found the following system variables (see below). Interestingly the R

also did a search for Rscript.exe (see screenshot below). It shows up in
R\R-4.4.x\bin and R\R-4.4.x\bin\x64. I removed R 4.4.1 to make sure
there is no conflict, but it does not solve my problem. I also looked
for R.home in Rstudio and it seems to point the right way.

What happens if you open a console and type "rscript"? Is it found?
I do not see the R binary folders in your path, and it should be there
for LyX to work.
