Chris, I have a development version which I run both on arm64 and x86_64. LyX does not "run" faster. The graphical front end on the M1 feels zippier, indeed, but while typing and enditing it does not make that much aof a differnece. The limiting factor is the (Lua)LaTeX running in the backgroun
