i have never made lyx templates before, but am about to graduate and
lately i have doing a lot of resumes, SRS (software requirement
specifications) and other such documents. my question is, if i put the
templates together for the above said documents, can i post it up here
on lyx mailing list?
As reported on this list, some users had problems to open older LyX files with LyX 1.6.x. The
problem was a corrupted file of the scripting language Python that is used by LyX for file conversions.
When you are affected by this problem, replace the file "unicodedata.pyd" that you find in LyX's

I managed to get up and running with LyX 1.6.1 from the backports, but
the references are still messed up. Interestingly, only the provided
help documents had the problem of

I am new to Lyx and still experimenting but it seems really good so far.
One thing I noticed though, when I process a new file the letters are somewhat
pixelated if scaled to high resolutions whereas the pdf from files like
Tutorial.lyx for example looks perfect.

As a default, Lyx run on Miktex in windows. Can I run it on the texlive
distribution. I love Texlive.
