Thank Bob. I installed the software as Admin and rebooted the
computer and logged back in as Admin to run the software. During the
installation process, I accepted all the defaults and this software is
still not working.
I am not sure what kind of magics needed to get it to work for others

Looking at c:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\lyx15\
and I found that these packages.lst and texclass.lst have size of zero
in byte. That's wrong..
