Lyx 1.4.3, version 1.5.0 looks lacking of the anti-aliasing processing on
the screen fonts. While in 1.4.3 the screen fonts look pretty smooth, those

It's kind of a theme on the list that \let is almost always the way to
go in these situations.

I'm not texpert, but I'd have thought the solution had to involve the
if-next-char-is-star trick that seems to be used in a lot of the classes
to allow a single definition to handle both the starred and non-starred
cases. Maybe Helge would know. Helge seems to be a real wiz with these
things.

Hey everybody,
I'm quite new to LyX, so please bear with me here. I checked the
documentation and Google (which apparently does not know everything),
but could not find the answer to the following situation. I have a
document where I use subfigures. So I used the subfigure option in LyX,

Hi Bennett, since your file worked fine on my system, too, I tried to
track down the culprit and it seems that it's the document setting on
font "ae". When I switched to palatino, it was ok. Are there no italics
in ae? I used this font because it was recommended on the LyX on Mac
Wiki page.

Turns out that the \noappendicestocpagenum must come *before* the
\addappheadtotoc command, though the documentation does not say so
Hello,
I am having a little problem using the appendix package in an extbook
document. What I want to do is to have an Appendix heading appear in the TOC,
with no page number, just before the first Appendix.
I have these lines just before the first appendix like it says in the appendix
package

The two minipages way worked with a little tweak of the table (had to

to put in place), but the ColumnsTopAligned didn't. For the two
