Hi!
I would try running the reconfigure script by hand, as Paul A. Rubin suggests:

If this does not work, you may find some other workarounds here:

Hi list,
I have an interesting problem which is hopefully not a FAQ.
I use eps figures in my document. The resulting PDF contains these
figures rotated by 90 degrees... sometimes. ;)
Using pdflatex gives rotated figures (90 degress), using dvipdfm does
*not* rotate them. The figures are generate

Hi all,
I was considering switching to OpenOffice because of the excessive effort in
creating/modifying styles in LyX.
So as an experiment, I began making a derivative, in OpenOffice, of a book I
originally wrote using MS Word.
WHAT A MESS! Styles I created in OpenOffice wouldn't stay created.
I just downloaded LyX for Windows 1.4.3-5 and I get this persistent error that
makes the program completely unusable. It says that no textclasses are found.
So I look at the mailing list archives, which state that I should blow away my
Application Data LyX directory and regenerate it. I do so

1) Open a new file in LyX 1.4.
2) Press the insert graphics button on the toolbar
3) Select a graphics file (anything will do)
4) Press Apply and wait for the preview to appear in the LyX window.
Don't close the graphics window or bring the main LyX window to the
foreground.

Hi Steve,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sharing so much

Hi all,
I've got a recurring issue with LyX 1.4.3-4 (and -5, I think). It
manifests as LyX displaying the wrong glyphs for some symbols in math
insets (although math preview converts them correctly). For instance,
the integral sign displays as a capital R. Uninstalling and

Newer mind, I solved the issue! After installing the packages in MIKTeX I
needed to run "Refresh FNDB" AND "Update Formats" from MIKTeX Options!

Thanks again

According to the bug's explanation, .ps and .eps are converted to .pdf, not

I am using v1.4.3 with Miktex 2.5 and ImageMagic 2.6.7, and my LyX behaves as expected by John. That is, I insert .eps graphics in my
