Is there a way I could make a keyboard command for paste external? I
need to paste a lot of external things and it takes a long time to go
to the menu all the time. I don't mind if there are two seperate
functions, but I want easy acess to the external paste one. Thanks!

Hey all,
I'm trying to use the MLA style downloaded from CTAN to get the MLA

hoping someone might have some ideas for how to deal with it.
Both issues involve the Works Cited page. First, I need to have the

By default the section heading in Latex are bold. This is fine. In the table of

However I need to use some math in one of my section headings. If I input it as

Hi
I use the center paragraph option when I place figures in floats to ensure they
are in the center of the page. However with this option the spacing between the
figure and the caption increases relative to the default (justified).
Is there any way of having centered figures without this addit
I've managed to get the backgrounds of rows in my table gray using colortbl,
but it skips all multicolumn cells (i.e they are not gray'ed) - what should I
do?
Kind regards

Hi there,
I am new to LyX and I try to install the layout files for the beamer
class for LyX on a Windows XP box. Unfortunately without much success
so far. I tried the hints for Linux which were given in some earlier
thread but it doesn't work.
I hve installed MikTeX and the beamer class under

There is no reason why it would not work, I think. Of course, someone
has to compile it :)

Hi lyxers,
I would like to know if this patch is
also possible to use in the aqua version (OS X)
of Lyx
Cheers,

I'm trying to compile and install LyX 1.3.6 from source on Mac OS 10.4.2, and
I've found that the instructions for installation included with the package
don't work. First of all, the instructions suggest using gcc 2.95.2 to compile
both QT and LyX -- but this compiler is not included with Tiger's

Hi,
I am using mathpazo but find that the italics are too large. Maybe
somebody can help with a suggestion how to rescale the italics alone?
I am a little lazy and would be grateful if somebody could suggest
the solution off the cuff. Please don't labor on it, though!
Thanks
