How to reduce the size of italics in mathpazo?

Hi,
I am using mathpazo but find that the italics are too large. Maybe
somebody can help with a suggestion how to rescale the italics alone?
I am a little lazy and would be grateful if somebody could suggest
the solution off the cuff. Please don't labor on it, though!
