You mean the Layout -> Document option (in the Qt frontend) that says

Is it possible to set the default paragraph separation to indent for a
LyX layout? I've tried every permutation of those words that I can
think of, tried \paragraph_separation indent in the preamble section.
Everything either produces an error (with the .lyx file containing

I'm running lyx 1.2. on Mandrake 9.0 gnome desktop
Where should the above code be placed to recompile, and have it end up
as a usable document class?
Thanks

Hi,
I have lyx1.3.3 installed on RH7.3
I downloaded the elsart.layout from

and installed it in ~/.lyx/layouts
In the same directory I have elsart.sty, elsart12.sty and elsart.cls

I am not sure whether this would help.
Go to edit - preferences-converters.
Here you might have to specify the converters for the respective figure
types (jpg, gif) etc. So create a new converter for each of these to
convert it to eps. Here specify the converter as convert $$i $$o.
It worked for me
There is some issues with using pdflatex, it cannot convert all types of
graphs.
Try running Lyx -dbg graphics you will get some details.
I usually stick to eps files (old habit, since been using LaTex and Lyx long
before we could include jpg, and other formats.
One thing to do, is go to a comma
Hi,
I have installed lyx on windows xp but I have two problems with that:

have to change?
- If I have figures included I always get an error. I have installed image magick but
obviously wrong. What exactly do I ha

For some strange reason I
There was a mistake in the description of vertical space in multiline
formulas (Chap. 17). Those who downloaded the documentation yesterday
should update to the new version.
Sorry for the unpleasantness.

Hi since I upgraded lyx to 1.3.3 qt, greek letters are not rendered anymore in LyX

\varepsilons becomes very unreadable. Can anybody shed some light on this? Am I

Hi,
I am using lyx-1.3.3 and BibTex, but I have to include
\usepackage{bibgerm} in the preamble to get things working, because
bibtex uses "\btxeditorslong" and similar macros.
Is this really necessary, or am I missing something? Putting a "x" in
"Use NatBib" doesn't seem to change the situation
