Including additional headings in table of contents

How would I add such headings (and their associated page numbers) as Abstract, Acknowledgments, Table of Contents, List of Figures, etc. to my Table of Contents? If I just use Chapter or Section then they are numbered 0.1, etc. I guess I am really asking, how do I suppress a chapter/section he

I am afraid you didn't put the extra options into the LAYOUT/DOCUMENT/Extra Options: e.g. azure1,ps,accumulate,slideColor,nocolorBG The 1st one is the style file. You may change it. I've checked these options were in the layout file, but I don't know why lyx 1.2.1 does not load them as lyx1.1.6.

amsart: theorem-like env. in sequence

Hi, I want to put im my document something like this: Note 1. Blah, blah... Note 2. Another blah... I used the amsart-sequencial layout, which defines the "Note" environment. The problem is that LyX does not allow me to put two notes in sequence. It insists in puting all text in the same note.
