I've asked for help on this partiular problem from the local linux users group, the newsgroup comp.lang.postscript, and by reading all the ghostscript docs I can find. So far it's been left unsolved. I want, ultimately, to add new Type1 fonts to LyX and the first step is to add them to ghosts
