The answers to my envelope question were all for things outside of
Lyx. So I wrote my own similar solution in python. It works on my
HP 1100 with the center envelope slot.

Further to my previous email - if I apt-get remove lyx and rm -rf ~/.lyx,
compile and run lyx-1.1.6fix3 I get the same problem with foils.lyx etc
but all else is ok

I have recently successfully installed fpTeX, Cygwin-XFree86 and LyX on my
Win2K machine thanks to help from several people. I am still not
completely set up however.

of frames and was able to use the envelope slot of my HP laserjet.
