I just remembered something else to add:
When using greyscale (or colour) pictures, make sure they're no larger
then 200 dpi in resolution (unless, of course, you're planning on doing
prepress stuff). This gives still reasonable results, while not making
the size of the resultant PDF file too big

I am currently using Lyx to edit technical documents.
I need to set change bars in my documents, so I used the chbar.sh
script.
It appears that, if a change occurs in a particular row of a table, it
is not possible to set the change bar only on the row that changed,
since there is a pdflatex err
