LyX-1.1.5pre3 is very good.
Finally, I could WITH JOY erase Lyx-1.1.2. from all my computers!
Based on my experience, I can highly recommend an upgrade ASAP to

Hello all,
Just while everybody is putting wish list items up...would it be possible
to not have to incude the .eps or .ps extension for included graphics
files? The \includegraphics command is smart enough to be able to pick the
right sort of file, depending on whether latex or pdflatex is used.
Hi,
I've just upgraded vom Lyx1.1.4 to 1.1.5pre3, my
first impression is: very good. My first contacts
have been merely related to problems.
I think it's time to say "thank you all those who

Stupid GUI question (sorry :).
Are the scrollbars in LyX controlled by LyX itself, or by the
windowmanager, in my case KDE? I've looked for a control to

In klyx, there's an option to preview as PDF. You could always save the file
generated for the PDF viewer.

Hi all,
I tried to install the Windows-Port of Lyx 1.1.4, but I didn't succeed.
In a first try, I at least got a window popping up, complaining about a
missing tmp-directory, but I couldn't get Lyx installed properly. (So my

I do agree! More than this for me it would be a very useful feature if one
were able to export directly to pdf; say, via File -> Export -> as PDF.
So far I used to export the file as postscript and after it "ps2pdf" it.
It works pretty well, but the other one would be more comfortable :-)

Hi
Just watched the Tcisofts homepage. www.tcisoft.com
There was several nice new "features in the latest version of

Among other improvements, MuPAD can now be used with scientific

Following the very useful ideas already given in the list,
I began writing LaTeX stuff to be able to create pdf

correctly with bitmapped vector-like images, screen captures
mostly).
So in LaTeX I can easily shift from one compilation to the oth

Hi all,
Sorry for the catchy subject, but I have a problem and I have
to solve it ASAP - the deadline for my thesis is today (in
an hour or so, in fact).
I need to turn hyphenation off for the bibliography. Is there
any way to tell LyX (or Latex) 'please do not hyphenate from
now on' ? If there
