Hello list
I'm using the "indentfirst" and it works fine for all the paragraphs
except for the paragraph that are inmediatly after a "itemize",
"enumerate" or "description" paragraph.
Can somebody help me with this one?
Hi list
Thanks for your tip Juergen, the commands \\ and \caption{} works fine, if
the caption if on the bottom of the table, but the problem is that the
caption must be on top of the table (faculty rules), and if I issue:
\\ \caption{The Caption}
on the of the table, the results are very nast

It was the TeX configuration, for languages other than english, italian
and german (and I belive french too) you must run "texconfig" and once in
there, get into the "hyphen" item of the menu.
You will see a text file (with vi), which you got to edit and uncomment
your especific language.

Hi,
I've just started using Lyx & I can't seem to put figures in my documents! I do
the insert->figure thing, give it my .ps file & it appears nicely in my
document & everything, then when I do 'View Postscript' I see it being drawn on
the page and just as it finishes drawing it disappears! If I

I suppose you have selected the right language from LyX menus? If yes, the
it's probably (La)TeX configuration problem. You could get rid of
your distribution's TeX version

inlatex preamble
\renewcommand{\thefigure}{\it \ifnum \c@chapter>\z@ \thechapter.\fi
\@arabic\c@figure}
this is the figure-caption for book-class like "chapter.n
Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to have text of a figure
caption in italic?
and how?
Thank you very much,
Nicolas.
Hi folks
I want to typeset a regular newsletter using lyx, and want to hear if
anyone has done something similar / if there are any sty files around?
I have not found any (other than an old 1992 tex macro).
Is it possible to have lines between columns, running vertically? And
is it possible to u

Hi,
some funny things happened to me with a LyX-file that I saved in my
HOME directory and tried to open in LyX.
After a few seconds LyX crashes, my X-server restarted and - most funny -
I was logged off at the text consoles. I also tested it with another
LyX-file - same thing.
Funny, isn't it?
I use lyxexport, a command-prompt utility that allows you to export
from lyx into the usual formats: tex, txt, dvi, ps, pdf.
I don't know if this achieves what you are trying to do below, but it
seems to: and a bit easier too.
