Don't you have this word (or similar) in French?
This comes from Latin, we have it in Portuguese.
Something like this old saying:

I have to admit I have never seen this word. Do people really use it
in normal discussion?
Thanks for the lesson.

Yes, and I did not object to the name at the time. But I am able to

Works good! I have only one entry for LyX under Add/Remove programs.
Perhaps it would be better to have separate uninstalls for LyX137, LyX14x?
I was able to change my viewers by modifying the File format->Viewer field.
Path prefix was generated properly though I use paths without spaces.

Never mind, I got it to work. I modified the wrong file (needed to change
configure).
Just tried the new installer. The configure script didn't find my PDF and PS
viewers, even after adding the paths to \path_prefix in lyxrc.defaults.

With the help of the attached patch, I have built and uploaded a snapshot
of the 1.4.x branch to:
http://wiki.lyx.org/uploads/Windows/LyX141pre/lyx-1.4.1-pre_win32_setup_v1.exe
Jean-Marc, could you apply the patch please? (I have been unable to create

Ok, then humour me by testing "configure QTDIR='/foo/bar'". It
certainly works for me on FC3.

Here is another one related to cursor in mathed.
Have at hand any document with math (inline or display, does not matter).
UserGuide.lyx will do. Run lyx and load the document with
File->Open->file.lyx->OK. Then place the cursor inside any math. Then open
again the same document with File->Open

I have just put the 1.4.0pre1 on the devel ftp site.
After we have beat on this a bit and fixed problems discovered I will
release pre2 and announce that to a larger audience.
So please try out pre1 and report any and all problems you find.
ftp://ftp.devel.lyx.org/pub/lyx/pre/lyx-1.4.0pre1
I have put a pre1 on ftp://ftp.devel.lyx.org/pub/lyx/pre/
tarball, source rpm and binary rpm. Also the xforms rpms for 1.0.
Only xforms version precompiled.
It would of course be nice if people try these out... but be aware
that there are still some problems.
