Is this behaviour what we want? (I've gotten used to other applications
opening the new document in a separate tab).
A new tab or a new window - a presentation issue if it is the same session.

Hi,
I've got a question about the behaviour of LyX which I'm using on Windows
(Uwe's installer), here's the use case:
* I've got a LyX file open in a LyX window.
* I click on a LyX file in my browser (Opera), and a second LyX window is

This is not really a bug as each window is independent (see

should automatically create a new view of current buffer (the one in

This feature is already in 1.5.0. You can download lyx 1.5.0 beta and try.

Hi!
It would be very nice to be able to open the same document in more windows,
just like in Emacs, because it's very useful when editing a long book. So it
would be nice to see for example in the View menu a new menu point - view
buffer in new window - which would just open a new window

The update is now reflected at once in the other window, nice.
One rather huge problem though: If one of the windows is smaller than
the other, the other windo will also get its paragraphs
rezied/rebroken. Not good.
So it seems that there are too much sharing going on between the two
